I’m way past the age where time seems to fly by. Blink and a month goes by. Turn around, there went last year.
On the one hand, it’s frustrating because it does distort how long ago things actually occurred. Unless I look at the calendar, I’m liable to believe that order I didn’t ship was just placed a week ago, not a month and a half.
On the other hand, there is a positive aspect. Little bits of effort consistently seem to build up faster. That 30 minutes of work, or those spare moment sketches, or those few pages read add up quickly. Blink and you have another book done. Turn around and you’ve finished a project.
Or, before you know it you’ve gained 10 pounds. Or lost 15.
It’s like age giving you a super power. It’s up to you how you use it.
