Making comics always takes longer than I anticipate. After 10 years of doing it for a living you’d think I’d know exactly how much time is required, but I’m always thinking it’ll go faster than it does. Right about the mid-point of every project it feels like I’m making very little progress. Like climbing a mountain, but the peak is hidden in the clouds.

It would go faster if I paid a colorist to help, and I’ve considered it. But honestly, that’s when the page gets really fun for me — that last bit when it all starts coming together. Just keep plugging along. One line, one panel, one color at a time.

These pages are from my upcoming Graphic Novel, GUNSHIP THUNDERPUNCH BOOK 2.
