As I stumble headfirst into the world of NFTs a few things have surprised me.
First, some people are VERY critical. “It’s a scam! A Ponzi scheme” (Not sure how) “It’s bad for the environment!” (um, ok) and so on and so on.
Second, it’s a world of different terms. Customs = commissions. Gas = Fee. Contract = Code. I’m going really slowly building up my collection of Shearobots but, maybe I’m being too cautious. Sometimes you just gotta get in there and make mistakes.
One thing that’s the same is that the people who are into NFTs want to be part of a community. Discord is the place where everyone seems to gather. So I made a Shearobot discord. I’ve kind of gotten the handle on it, but the world of crypto and NFTs has a high learning curve.
I’ll keep you updated on what I find out as I go in case you want to figure things out for yourself.
Just be careful of scams. Never give out your Crypto Wallet “seed phrase.” I’ll go more into that later.
I am having fun coming up with new variations of the robot. It’s like making Garbage Pail Kids.
