On my YouTube channel I did a few livestreams where I did robot character designs as an exercise. Starting with basic shapes that lent themselves to interesting robot designs was the starting point. After all was said and done writing the brief descriptions was a fun extra that let my imagination come up with goofy backstory for each one. Give it a try for yourself!
