A few years ago fellow Transformers artist Brendan Cahill approached me about working on one of his creator-owned books called The Drey. It took me a while to figure out how to fit it in my schedule. Getting the Wacom Cintiq, Manga Studio, and spending time working on my own book, William the Last, let me get a system down for doing full comic pages fairly quickly. Digital definitely has advantages.
It also took me a bit of time and lots of sketchbook pages to figure out how I wanted to draw anthropomorphized squirrels.
