It’s hard for me to get into the groove on Monday mornings. This morning I was feeling particularly stiff and really needed to warm up, so I spent a little extra time sketching out this robot. When I finished the inks, I figured I might as well scan it and color it up.
Another small preview of the art from my graphic novel. Danny and I finished laying out the last few pages last night and then tossed around some ideas for the next project. On a somewhat unrelated note, I’ll be at Megacon next weekend with Tsunami Studios. I think we’re in the Orange section.
Here are the two cards I did on last night’s Artcast. I talked a bit on the show about the colors I used on the Vampirella piece, most of which were Copic markers. Since someone asked, the skin tones used were: Skin White, Pinkish Vanilla, Fruit Pink, Sand White, Viola, Floral White, and Water Lily….
I did an impromptu artcast yesterday afternoon and finished up this Red Sonja card. You can watch the process from pencils to finished color on the archived video.
